Since our beginnings in 2015, founded by Dean Boyd in his home garage, we’ve grown into one of Australia’s leading providers of bespoke timber pieces. Our journey has taken us from a small garage workshop to a large industrial warehouse, where our skilled team of furniture makers and designers, handcraft unique furniture that adds warmth and character to any space.
With over a decade of experience, our fearless leader Dean’s dedication to woodworking is complemented by the integral role of his partner Frances, who has supported and shaped the Living Timber journey. Together, they have built a business that values sustainability, using salvaged and recycled Australian hardwoods to give timber a second life.
In 2024, we expanded our horizons by merging with Jarrad from The Grain Designs, another passionate custom timber furniture maker/designer. This merger has allowed us to combine our strengths and take on even more ambitious projects while staying true to our core values of quality, craftsmanship, and sustainability.

Living Timber specialises in creating custom furniture for every room in the home—bedroom, bathroom, living, dining, and office spaces.
